Lavender Hill Farm is an agricultural tourism farm located near Boyne City, MI. Our farm is 33 acres consisting of rolling hills and sandy soil. More than 13,000 lavender plants including 30 varieties call this place home. Our bloom period begins in late June or the first week of July and continues into mid-August. During this time, our fields are a canvas of varying shades of purple, pink, and white. There is a constant humming sound from the more than one million honeybees foraging the fields, enjoying lavender which is a super food for them. Our harvest is either dried onsite and sent to local artisans around northern Michigan to make their crafts with our lavender, or it is harvested and sent fresh into the distillation process to make our lavender essential oil onsite. Artisans send the lavender infused products to us to be sold in our shop.
We do our best to make every visit a memorable experience through our outgoing staff and the natural beauty of the land and lavender plants. We offer a range of events and classes as well as host private events. Our growing classes educate guests on the growing conditions, maintenance, and harvesting of lavender plants, and our fields are the living proof of the beauty and success that can be achieved with proper care and without the use of pesticides.
