Thomas Fazio
ECO City Farms, Bladensburg MD
Thomas Fazio works as the compost manager at ECO City Farms in Prince George’s County, Maryland. His responsibilities at ECO include managing their aerated static pile and vermicomposting systems. Prior to working with ECO, Thomas was a manager at Compost Crew, a Maryland based food scrap recycling company. While at Compost Crew, he worked on Compost Crew’s first Compost Outpost installation at One Acre Farm in Dickerson, Maryland. His experience is in community based on-farm composting using food scraps as the primary input. Thomas is certified as a Compost Facility Operator with the Maryland Department of Agriculture.
Luis Chen
Wormies Compost, Grand Rapids MI
Luis Chen is the founder of Wormies Compost, a worm farm located in Kent County, Michigan. Wormies offers a pickup service of food scraps and produce fresh worm manure for local growers. Luis is certified by the US Composting Council as a compost facility operator.
Peter Brezny
Psycho Chicken Eco Farm, Asheville NC
Peter is a regenerative agriculture consultant, educator, and the founder of Psycho Chicken Eco Farm, an ecologically-minded vegetable farm and homestead in West Asheville, NC. He produces compost utilizing multiple methods, on both a mechanized and hand scale, creating piles from 1 to 20 cubic meters in size.
