I believe in growing naturally without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. And I do not agree with what the usda organic certification has become.

Ive learned to farm through trial and error and after years of hobby gardening last year 2021 was my first year growing for market. Books by JM Fortier and Elliot Coleman offered great information on helping me make that transition and have allowed me to learn more and more every year.

Please describe your buffer. Be as specific as possible. On all sides, how far is it from your crops to the next closest use (road, conventional crop, residential yard)? Be sure to specify what is grown on neighboring land that is in agricultural use. For example: To the north and east, a wooded area of at least 100 yards separates us from the neighbor's corn fields, to the south is a fallow field at least 100 yards deep separating us from the road, and to the west about 60 feet separates our crops from a field where conventional corn and soybeans are grown. *
To the north is at least 1000ft of woods to the next road. To the east is a 50 foot wide tree row neighboring an unsprayed hay field. To the west is a 30 foot wide coniferous tree row with neighboring fallow field. To the south 500ft away from veg is road with house and barn inbetween
